Big Ten Title Game: Ticket Giveaway(Go to the Game!)

In case you haven't heard, the Big Ten Title Game is this weekend. In case you also haven't heard, Wisconsin isn't showing up. Their fans are all butthurt because they won't be playing for the National Title and they haven't sold out their ticket allotment. The secondary ticket market is going through the floor with nosebleed seats going for 10 dollars. Ten dollars. Think about how much money ten dollars actually is.

For example, I went to Qdoba the other day, a burrito, chips, salsa and a pop is like 9.50.  You can see our team play for a chance to go to the Rose Bowl for the cost of Qdoba. Chipotle should feel lucky I didn't use them as an example or it would Get Two Tickets to the Big Ten Title Game for the cost of Chipotle!

Do you really want Lucas Oil to look like this when we win our chance to go to the Rose Bowl?

If you want to sit in the middle tier of seats, those are going for like 30-50 bucks. Unless you are hell bent on sitting on the 50 in the lower bowl there are tickets available for under 100 dollars. These prices couldn't be any better.

How many shitty games have you sat through waiting for next year? Notre Dame in 2006, I was there. I stayed up until 4 in the morning watching the Hawaii game where we got jobbed. The whole John L. Smith/Bobby Williams era. It was terrible, but this, this is good.

I had no idea the tickets would be so accessible, so here it is. I've bought two, and I'm giving them away to the person who leaves the best comment as to how they can cheer loudest for MSU on Saturday. They are in Section 446 in the middle tier. And they're yours, free. You have to be able to meet me to pick them up on Friday in Lansing and you have to go to the game. No other obligations. All entries need to be submitted by 8 am on Friday.

Besides, if this happens again....

to send us to the Rose Bowl, do you want to miss it?

  1. Hey guys, LCSpartan here:

I've never posted on a blog before, but when it comes to college sports, and much more importantly, Spartan Sports; I have seen them all! I had season tickets in the Student Sec for 5 years (and yes, 2006 still haunts my dreams) and now being a proud 2009 Alum, I have been so priveledged to live close enough to E.L. to keep season tickets. Now as for the "cheering on our boys" part, I honestly can't remember the last time I left Spartan Stadium with my voice intact. If I have a problem in the stands, then that problem is not being able to surpress passionate and spontaneous outbursts of joy and admiration for the Green & White, and my girlfriend's eardrums would be willing to attest! In addition, I have been know to entice countless fellow Spartans into the Famous "Go Green, Go White" chant. I would already have tickets, but I thought I had to work this weekend. I now have the opportunity not only get work off, but I also have a friend to stay with in Indy, so I figured that trying to get a pair of awesome tickets to one of the most important games of my lifetime would be time well spent. This blog rocks and is also clever as hell, and you guys truely don't get enough credit! Thanks for the consideration and keep on strong! oh...and brent b is def a douche

  2. Best way to cheer the loudest?

I'll just bring a megaphone and announce to the stadium that Roushar has been canned.

I'm sure the cheers will last the whole game. No more playcalls where every receiver runs routes two yards short of the sticks.

  3. I would like to state my case for the tickets. I am a Life Long State fan that was in Wisky last time they lost to those badger boys. I was in Iowa Last year when we lost. I was in Lincoln this year when we lost. Every game was a big game and I have been disappointed. I would love nothing more than watching my boys in a Big Game and actually Win and cheer with them. I was six last time they went to the Rose Bowl and they would have no bigger cheerleader in that stadium than me....WE'RE GOING TO WIN THIS GAME, FIGHT, FIGHT, RAH TEAM FIGHT VICTORY FOR MSU!!!!!

  4. @ELR - Cheers on the double vuvuzelas for sheer volume, but you can't yell go green, go white.

@BeGreen - Love the megaphone idea, but Roushar might need more time. If you'll recall in 2007 Duzzer lost to Northwestern 49-42. If he still sucks in two years we'll talk.

@DCSlim23 - I liked this post a lot and Ty and I vehemently debated between yours and LCSpartan's, but we elected to go with his. Send me your e-mail address to michiganstatefootball@gmail.com anyway in case I don't hear back from LCSpartan.

@LCSpartan you are the winner, winner chicken dinner. E-mail me back at michiganstatefootball@gmail.com by 5pm please.
